first_imgRory GallagherDONEGAL lead Tyrone by 2 points at half-time in a ‘war’ of a match at Mac Cumhaill Park today marred by a half-time bust-up.A number of members of the Tyrone backroom staff began to push and shove Donegal players as they tried to leave the field at the break.Stewards had to step in as the Donegal players refused to respond from foul-mouthed insults hurled at them as they attempted to go off. Tyrone thought they had the lead in the game as they went two points ahead on the half hour mark.But Donegal stunned the Red Hand county with a Martin McElhinney volleyed goal and a super Colm McFadden point to lead 1-08 to 1-06.The game has been marred by a number of off the ball incidents during play, with Donegal captain Michael Murphy hauled and hit off the ball a number of times.It’s not a pretty game in dreadful conditions but Donegal do lead. They had a blistering start with three unanswered points, the pick of them from Frank McGlynn.Tyrone then got a goal from Darren McCurry.
