Listen To Umphrey’s McGee Cover Ween And Pink Floyd During Their Saturday Performance [Full Show Audio]

first_img“Dallas, you guys are rowdy tonight!” observed Brendan Bayliss of Umphrey’s McGee in Dallas on Saturday night, speaking to the full house at the House of Blues. The band was certainly feeling a little rowdy themselves after an epic 4/20 show in Austin and a night at the Orpheum in New Orleans on Friday, with Umphrey’s McGee primed and ready to show some Umph love to Texas along with Oklahoma-based electronic jam band Montu, who warmed up the stage.Umphrey’s McGee kicked off the night with “Goonville” and “Educated Guess,” before moving into “Cementary Walk.” After, Bayliss hopped on the keys for “Cemetery Walk II” from the 2009 album Mantis. “Slacker” had the majority of the crowd singing along, which slid right into a rarely played cover of “Transdermal Celebration” by Ween before set break. During the second set, highlights of the evening included Pink Floyd’s “Time,” which certainly did justice to the Dark Side of the Moon original and harkened back to April of 2015, when the band performed the cover at the very same venue. “Wappy Sprayberry,” “Partyin’ Peeps,” and “Upward” rounded out the second set, which they closed out with the UM classic “In the Kitchen,” moments later returning to the stage for a “Remind Me” encore.
